Documentation by Geea
Download and install jinXplorer. The download can be found at www.sonofthere.com.
Note: you do not have to be logged into There when using jinXplorer. However, because jinXplorer pulls its data from There, There must be open (not down for maintenance or other outages) for jinXplorer to work.
Click on
the jinXplorer icon to open jX.
Logon Screen

jX will remember your avatar name and password by simply checking the save password box. There are two types of data syncs. Simple (fast) and Thorough (slow).
Differences between Simple and Thorough
Sync Data Simple: - jX will read your Order Items and My Auctions pages, and unless you have any new items in your catalog, it will just rely on the data it finds on these pages to update your databases.
Sync Data Thorough: reads both these pages, then actually digs a lot deeper; it will download the item data for each item, test each item to see if they are currently listed or not, then actually download the auction details for each item (the first time you run jX it will always use the Thorough style).
So the difference between the two is that the Simple style will usually get by on downloading just two files, while the Thorough could potentially download hundreds of data pages. Obviously, the difference in time between the two is significant. There's no hard and fast rule as to which one to use, but the vast majority of Developers should be able to use the Simple style reliably. The Thorough style is intended for Developers with very large catalogs (around 1,000 items) and long auction histories (3,000+ auctions), because occasionally their data is so complex that the Order Items and My Auctions pages have missing pieces.
Data Sync Window

This is the window that you will see while your data is synchronizing. When it is done you will see the following:
Explanation of Top Tool Bar and Control Tabs

1. Item Modify Item List - by clicking on the eye you will receive a drop down window to create/delete and arrange your item groups. Click on the down arrow for a drop down list of all your item groups. By default there are two, all items and unassigned items. All your items will be unassigned when you first log in. Read assigning items for instruction on how to assign them to a group you create.
2. Show all items both unlisted and listed.
3. Show unlisted items only.
4. Show listed Items.
5. Search for Items in View (not yet implemented).
6. Show or hide item control tabs.
7. Refresh data on selected items.
8. List checked items in The There Auction.
Control Tabs
Item Information

Highlight the item on your list that you would like to view information on. The control tabs are located on the lower half of your screen. Each tab will give you information on your item. The Item Information control tab gives you the history of your item and allows for you to write comments and assign the item group you have created. Please note that as of this time an item can only be assigned to one item group.
Auction History

The Auction History shows you all auctions listed for that item how many copies sold and how much time is left on the current auction.
Auction Options

This control tab is where you will make the changes for which type of
auction you want your item listed. It will retain all the information
you choose. Once you have made the necessary changes, be sure to
click Apply Changes and it will save all your information. The fields
are self explanatory.
How To Create Item Groups

On the top toolbar click on the eye icon and a window will appear.
This is where you create your item groups. You can create, modify
or remove groups from here. Once you have your item groups created,
you must assign your item to a group in order for it to show in the desired
item group. This can be done by going to the Item Information control
tab. Be sure to click [Apply Changes] once you have assigned
your item to a particular group.
Viewing your selected item groups and sorting

Once you have created an item group and assigned your items to specific
groups, you can search your items by choosing the item group on the drop
down list. Then use the options on the top toolbar to sort unlisted
or listed items in that particular group.
How To List A Single Auction

Select the item you wish to put on auction by putting a check in the box next to it. (Please note if the item is already listed the box will be grayed out). Go to the Auction Option control tab to set the type of auction, add your logo, description, price and duration of auction. Click [Apply Changes].
Click on List checked items in The There Auction

A batch confirmation window will appear. This will give you a list of what you are putting on auction as far as the quantity, retail price, profit sale, length type of auction and listing fee. Once you are satisfied, click the check box on the bottom of the batch conformation window and click List.

Once the item is listed you will see this window. It will let you know the item was listed successfully and give you your new auction item id. Click OK to leave this window.

How To List Multi Auctions
Listing multiple auctions is much the same as a single auction but you are checking more than one item. Be sure to follow the same steps as you would listing a single auction, by checking each item in the Auction Option Control tab to be sure that the pricing and auction type is what you want. Please note if your auctions are standard 30T buck auctions, the Auction Option Control tab retains all information you have saved, so this will not have to be done each time you list the item on a regular auction.
Thanks for using jinXplorer! Happy Auctions!
